The Purpose of Your Role:

The Conversion Project Manager (PM) implements new retirement plans (start-up, takeover, mergers) to meet the expectations of key stakeholders and also coordinates effectively with other departments and vendors to allow for a seamless transition into Sentinel’s ongoing administrative process.  This is a consultative role where the PM is the first representation of Sentinel and its five foundational values: Integrity, Excellence, Empowerment, Expertise, and Innovation.  The role demands a high level of skill in organization and communication (both in writing and in leading conference calls).  In addition, the PM will coordinate plan transfers to successor Recordkeepers/TPAs.

What you'll bring to Sentinel:
  • Expertise in defined contribution plans, plan documents and ERISA regulation
  • Project management leadership
  • Ability to influence and persuade others through verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality or accuracy

What you’ll be responsible for:
  • Onboard new retirement clients to Sentinel’s recordkeeping and administrative platforms.  This includes overseeing the transfer and re-investment of plan assets.
  • Create a positive transition experience for clients through conference call consultation and consistent email updates and progress reports
  • Coordinate all required setup paperwork, transfer paperwork, and participant notification for multiple projects at once
  • Consistent review of onboarding plan projects to ensure set-up paperwork is accurate, complete, and in good order
  • Communicate service expectations, conversion procedures, and timing standards to clients, internal departments, and other vendors involved
  • Identify issues encountered during plan installation process
  • Track and monitor all transition milestones using project management tools
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal departments (Contributions, Trading, Documents, and Plan Consulting teams) to successfully implement clients into Sentinel
  • Ensure successful and complete client transition from the New Business team to the respective ongoing Plan Consulting and Service Center teams
  • Coordinate required paperwork, details and transfer steps for service terminations
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changing benefits-related legislation

What you need to have:
Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of formal education and work experience
  • 3+ years defined contribution experience, preferable in a conversion and / or plan administration role
Nice to haves:
  • Experience with Relius Recordkeeping System
  • Experience with Infor and/or Salesforce CRM application
  • Experience with Basecamp and DocuSign software
